General Terms and Conditions of the KBS 2024 Symposium

Payment

Fees can be paid using a variety of methods, including Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), Debit Card or Debit Master Card, and PayPal. Payments made through Credit Card or Debit Card may incur fees depending on your card provider.

Early Bird Registrations close on 15 March 2024. Information on deadlines and fees is available under the ‘The Symposium’ tab above.

Invitation letters

Visa information for delegates from outside Australia is available under the ‘General Information’ tab above. Most delegates will not require a special invitation letter to obtain visas. However, if you do please request it from the Organising Committee at least three months prior to the KBS 2024 Symposium by emailing

Confirmation of registration

You will receive a receipt and confirmation of registration by email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a reasonable time, please send an email to

Change of delegate

Substitutions of attendees will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please inform the Organising Committee of the KBS 2024 Symposium in writing via  giving the name of the substitute, by 10 May 2024.

Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds will only be offered in exceptional circumstances. Any requests for cancellations and refunds can be made in writing to the Organising Committee of the KBS 2024 Symposium by sending an email to

Any refunds will be made after the KBS 2024 Symposium. If the KBS 2024 Symposium is cancelled (for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee), registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred.

Liability

The contributors will be carefully selected and the KBS 2024 Symposium will be carefully prepared. The organisers of the KBS 2024 Symposium cannot accept liability for the up-to-datedness, correctness and completeness of conference documentation and its content, unless the damage is the direct consequence of an intentional act or gross negligence. Neither the organisers of the KBS 2024 Symposium will assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Symposium.

Disputes

All agreements between KBS 2024 organisers and the Other Party (conference participant) and all disputes which may arise between the Parties shall be exclusively subject to Australian Law. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
